ALLISON Boat Company – the next generation

Bruce Allison will help lead Brisbane-based ALLISON Boat Company into the future following his recent appointment as sales and marketing manager.

Rejoining his family’s respected fibreglass boat business after several years assisting in the establishment of a number of aluminium boat manufacturing companies, he said it was time to get back to his roots.

“The ‘ALLISON’ name is synonymous with high-quality, functional and durable recreational fishing boats – be it a small runabout or larger ocean-going vessel,” Bruce said.

“Dad (Col Allison) is held in very high regard in this industry and I’m looking forward to working with him and my sister Susan, our company’s general manager, to continue the ALLISON tradition of producing superior fibreglass boats.”

Involved in the boating industry for nearly 20 years, Bruce’s knowledge and experience will be pivotal in the company’s future direction, and there are already a few plans on the drawing board.

One aspect of the business Bruce said would never change, however, was the service for which ALLISON Boat Company was renown.

“We have a very loyal dealer network, some of which have been with us for over 14 years,” he said.

“That’s a long time in this industry, and I’m looking forward to visiting our dealers over coming months to discuss our plans and listen to their suggestions… face-to-face contact is very important to our business.”

Bruce will also be assisting ALLISON Boat Company dealers around the country during the 2006 boat show circuit.
